There's nothing better...

...than having started out on this photography journey a few years ago and having a client with a son who just hated me and my camera. It was a ton of work chasing him around and getting him to cooperate! In just a couple short years, he's gone from camera shy, to camera crazy! Just did a holiday photo shoot and when I told him I took "8 million pictures" he said he wanted to do more! We had a wonderful day walking around town and taking some shots - definitely makes my job that much more wonderful! And the journey from then until now has just been so fantastic!

Matt and Lauren

After many weeks of busy schedules conflicting with dates for an engagement photo shoot, we finally settled on a date that happened to then be our first freak snowfall of the season! Matt and Lauren were both great sports - willing to roll with the punches and change of venue, and it paid off! Maybe it was meant to be that the snowstorm changed our location and made this shoot what it was! Here's a sampling of some of the images! Looking forward to their wedding in May! :)

I had the pleasure of photographing Lindsay and Jon's wedding, and there was nothing that was going to stop this wedding from taking place! No hurricane or floods or any natural disaster was going to prevent these two from getting married, and boy was it a fun wedding! Here are a few pictures from that day! Congrats Lindsay and Jon!

I had the honor and privledge of photographing the wedding of two great friends, Amy and Ryan this past weekend. Amy and I have known each other since middle school, and Ryan fit right in to our little circle of friends when they first started dating! I wish them both the best in their new life together as Mr. and Mrs. Mulrooney! I love you guys! :)

Ciara's Butterfly Bash 2011

Hello everyone! I'm so happy to report that Ciara's Butterfly Bash was a huge success! The foundation raised over $110,000 which is just phenomenal! I am so happy to be a part of such a great group of people! It's that time of year again! This year marks the 3rd annual Dravet Syndrome Foundation's Ciara's Butterfly Bash and I will be donating my time to photographing the event for the third year in a row! This is a fantastic foundation that does wonderful things for children who suffer from Dravet's, or other similar epilepsies. My husband has been involved with a non-profit choir group called the CitySingers of Hartford for a few years now. He asked me if I could take a few pictures at their most recent holiday concert, and I obliged him - though I'm not sure some of the concert goers sitting immediately around me enjoyed hearing the sound of my shutter clicking! I did try to wait until they were singing quite loudly though!

Greece

I had a chance to go to Greece this past October for two reasons - to visit family, and to watch my mom race in the 2500th anniversary of the original marathon race in Athens. I always love going to Greece, getting back in touch with my roots, but also just to experience a different culture from my own. Below are a few pictures from my trip. Enjoy!

An Important Cause...

A friend of mine is heavily involved with a great organization called The Dravet Syndrome Foundation. Dravet Syndrome is a form of severe epilepsy in children that is currently incurable. I have, for the last couple of years, been involved with the Dravet Foundation by offering my services and photographing various fundraising events. Recently, there was a Dravet Foundation Steps Towards a Cure walk in Simsbury that I was asked to photograph. We were very lucky to have a beautiful day for the event, and there was quite a turnout!
